3 Solo Performances

“Stayte”
Devised and originally performed by Mark Weyman at the Institute of Contemporary Art, London, May 1998.
Performed by Christopher Hewitt.
“The performer is concealed so that he is unable to see the room in which he sits. Nevertheless, he maintains a constant and obsessive monologue describing the minute details of the fabric of his surroundings. This descriptive monologue is motivated by a search for something, for a significance to the features of the room, the possibility of a nebulous, transcending presence in its detail.” - Mark Weyman, July 2004.
