3 Solo Performances

In and Out of Light”
Devised and originally performed by Mark Wayman at The Rack Gallery, London, December 1997.
Performed by Florian Feigl.
“In the inky blackness of a dark passageway, a performer moves slowly towards a bright point of light. As he passes through the shadow’s edge into the light he begins to speak. He delivers a constant stream of images suggesting communication, openness and interaction. Once completely in the light he pauses for a moment, before sinking slowly back into the shadows. As he retreats, the theme of his monologue switches to become suggestive of concealment and paranoia. Once completely concealed in the shadow he pauses, then moves forward as before.” – Mark Wayman, July 2004.
