Culture 2000
Info:
Culture 2000 is a funding programme from the
European Union. In summary, eligible projects:
Can be focused on either: performing arts, visual arts, cultural heritage or books/reading (mainly translation)
Must have something uniquely European about them (i.e. not just a tour of a UK performance or exhibition)
Must be developed and implemented by at least 3 partner organisations from 3 different European countries
Must last either for 1 year or, in exceptional cases, for 2-3 years
Will have a total budget of between € 100-300,000 (1 year projects) or € 500,000 per year (2-3 year projects)
Can receive, from Culture 2000, a maximum of 50% (1 year projects) or 60% (2-3 year projects) of the budget
Will not include expenditure on buildings or buying new equipment - Culture 2000 can only fund projects

We are pleased to invite artists, working in performance, theater and new media to send proposals for the A_D_E 2004 competition. A_D_E 2004 aims to investigate at European level specific languages and communication forms of the relationship between performative spaces and audience. As such we are looking for artistic projects withing the field of digital/live presentation.
A_D_E 2004 is part of the Culture 2000 programme, funded by the European comission. The participation is free for artists and groups from European countries involved in Culture 2000.

Networked Bodies is a radical and democratic scheme
for commissioning new work. A network-hosted, national scheme for opening up and democratising the
commissioning process; empowering and strengthening an existing network of professional practitioners and offering
up a forum for focussed critical debate by using the opportunities offered by the Internet. Networked Bodies is a web-
based commissioning scheme offering opportunities to artists working in the diverse sectors of live art, performance
and digital performance represented by the New Work Network (NWN).
This scheme will offer a series of commissions for live work, proposed, discussed, reviewed and selected by the
membership of NWN using the Internet. All Networked Bodies members will be eligible to propose one project per
round and submit this for upload onto this site. These proposals will be open to view to all NWN members, to be
critically peer reviewed via e-discussion, and within a set timeframe, voted on by the membership in its
entirety.
Only UK residents are eligible. Applicants must also first become members of the New Work Network.
